Liquid I.V.'s Hydration Multiplier is a great-tasting, non-GMO electrolyte powder drink mix powered by Cellular Transport Technology (CTT) designed to enhance rapid absorption of water and other key ingredients into the bloodstream.

How it Works

Typically, when you drink fluids, they pass through the entire digestive system, losing water before your body can absorb it. CTT uses a precise ratio of sodium, glucose, and potassium to create an osmotic force that allows water to be delivered to the bloodstream earlier on in the digestive system. Liquid I.V. Hydration Multiplier can hydrate faster and more efficiently than water alone. One serving contains three times the electrolytes of traditional sports drinks and five essential vitamins.

How we got our Start

While working with a professional baseball team, Liquid I.V. Founder & CEO Brandin Cohen saw firsthand the lack of natural, effective electrolyte drinks. Inspired, he partnered with a group of top nutrition scientists to create Hydration Multiplier and the breakthrough science of CTT.

What Makes our Product Unique?

Liquid I.V. is powered by the breakthrough science of Cellular Transport Technology, or CTT, which is designed to enhance rapid absorption of water and other key ingredients into the bloodstream. Translation? Feel better. Faster.

4.0 out of 5 stars This product does do what it claims to do.

I like this product, but my body seems to be still getting used to it... or maybe I’m just getting used to the effects of it. When I drink it, it makes me feel like I’m retaining water. Maybe that’s the point though. The lemon-lime flavor isn’t bad at all. It tastes very similar to original Gatorade. Yes, there is saltiness. Yes, it does have sugar. The manufacturer explains why those are essential, so I wasn’t surprised. For me, I’m chronically dehydrated all the time because the things I drink run right through me. When I drink this, I seem to hang on to all the fluid that day. I’m not sure yet if that’s because the sodium just makes me retain water or what. It’s sort of an uncomfortable feeling that I typically try to avoid, so I’m not quite sure what to think about that yet.I will say that I usually cannot drink alcohol because it further dehydrates me to the point where I have heart palpitations and cannot sleep. After having some wine with this product in my system, this was no longer an issue.I have also gotten up in the mornings and can physically tell that the skin on my face is more hydrated.Overall, I definitely have more positives than negatives to say about this product so far. It’s going to take more time for me to keep trying this product to fully determine whether or not it’s for me.

2.0 out of 5 stars Will not purchase again!

My first mistake was not reading the negative reviews before I purchased the product. The drink tastes ok, you can taste the salt, but I seriously wish I had read the negative reviews, as no where does it state 11 sugars in the online product information. Yes, it says sugar, not artificial sugars, but 11 is high. If I would have known it carried that much sugar to cover up the salt taste I would never have purchased it. My second mistake was opening the pouch, and trying it out without reading the back of the pouch first. Big mistake

2.0 out of 5 stars Too Sweet for Me

I am used to drinking a lot of plain water to hydrate. My hope in buying this product was to hydrate with less water, and not have to hit the bathroom quite as often. My initial reaction upon opening the bag was that one of the individual packages must be leaking because the lemon-lime smell was quite strong. When I added the powder to the water, a fine dust of the powder floated up. The product didn't dissolve as well as others I have used and the drink was too strong and sweet a flavor for my taste. The first ingredient is sugar! (11 grams) It also has a distinct aftertaste. Not for me.

3.0 out of 5 stars Very strong taste

This stuff is pretty average in my opinion. I've tried it in a couple different scenarios where I was feeling dehydrated - once after just a long hot day, once after exercising in the sun for a few hours, and once after over-serving myself. It seemed to work okay for mild dehydration, but at least for me, was definitely no better than just drinking a Vitamin Water. Certainly not the equivalent of drinking three glasses of water. Considering that water is essentially free, and Vitamin Water is around 80 cents each when you buy in bulk, spending $24 for 16 of these packets seems like a raw deal. However, the biggest drawback for me was the taste. These things have a VERY strong lemon lime taste. When I say "lemon lime," I mean what you imagine lemon lime might taste like if some scientist perfected the formula for replicating it, but he misplaced a decimal point somewhere and it ended up being 50x more potent than anticipated. The taste was just way too fake and overwhelming for me.
